INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

Virgo Sapiens Secundair’s International Relations Team organizes international intercommunal projects: Student Exchanges and Internships in vocational training.

ERASMUS + EUROPEAN EXCHANGES
Students from the care-oriented programs at Virgo Sapiens have the opportunity to do an internship at an institution for people with physical and/or mental disabilities.
The Szent Erzsébet Otthon is located in Ipolytölgyes (Hungary). On the other hand, these students can also do an internship at the Betèsda nursing home or the Koozie daycare center in Curaçao.
These projects are made possible with the support of the ERASMUS+ program of the European Union. The
internships allow the learners to step beyond the familiar confines of their local environment and engage with diverse cultures, practices, and perspectives.

ERASMUS+ EURPEAN INTERNSHIPS

Thanks to the support of the European Union’s Erasmus+ projects, Virgo Sapiens Londerzeel  has partnerships with Daniel Sampaio school near Lisbon (Portugal) and Instituto de Educación Secundaria Playa San Juan in Alicante (Spain).
By installing the subject international studies our school aims different objectives concerning the development of intercultural competences, the promoting of global citizenship and the preparation to enter a globalised society. The school wants to facilitate platforms and projects in which foreign languages are used. Learners will learn to step out of their own frame of reference and value differences.

Personal growth and finding ways to creating safe educational environments are central in these programmes. Through a journey of making new contacts learners will learn more about themselves, creating better self-confidence and self-awareness.

BELGIAN EXCHANGES (Flanders – Wallonia)

BELGIAN EXCHANGES (Flanders – Wallonia)
As Belgium has 3 official languages, the Belgian government facilitates exchanges between schools of the different language communities. With support of the Koning Boudewijnfonds Virgo Sapiens Londerzeel associates with 2 schools within the French speaking community: Notre Dame d’Anderlecht and Lycée Martin V in Louvain-la-Neuve
